Maddy Gustafson

Maddy Gustafson: hails from Holland, Michigan. She graduated from Zeeland West High School with a 4.28 GPA. Madeline is currently enrolled at Michigan’s college for Literature Science and the Arts with plans to pursue a degree in biochemistry. She also has Cerebral Palsy. Although she participated in cheerleading and running groups in middle school, her high school did not offer adaptive athletics, leaving her unable to compete or pursue athletic endeavors. She is excited to be able to reconnect with old passions at the University of Michigan and re-establish her love for running.
Sophomore Year:
Dairyland Games 1st place in the Long Jump: 2.55m. PR in 200m. Qualified for Junior nationals in Long Jump, 100m, 200m
Desert Challenge Games PR in the 100m in 19.05. PR in the 200m in 41.41
Great Lakes Games 1st place in the Long Jump: 2.42m , ran the 100m in 19.20 and the 200m in 41.24
Freshman Year:
First season training with the adaptive track and field team
Move United Junior Nationals 2nd place in the 100m; Time 19.92, 2nd place in the 200m; Time 46.35
Great Lakes Games 1st place in the 100m; Time: 20.79s

Born and raised in Michigan. Graduated Zeeland West High School with a 4.28 GPA. Transferred from LSA to College of Engineering after my freshman year. Hobbyist painter and involved with a music performance group here on campus, where I play piano. Excited for what's in store of the team as we grow!!
